Donation Refund Policy

Restore the Legacy is committed to transparency and responsible stewardship of all donations. Contributions support the protection and restoration of tropical rainforest ecosystems and the communities connected to them.

Because donations are immediately allocated to project planning, operational costs, and ecosystem restoration activities, refunds are generally not possible once a donation has been processed.

However, we recognize that exceptional situations may occur.

Refund Eligibility

Refund requests may be considered in the following situations:

  • An accidental duplicate donation was made

  • A technical payment error occurred during the transaction

  • The donation amount was entered incorrectly

  • The donation was made fraudulently using someone else’s payment method

Requests must be submitted within 14 days of the donation date.

Project Donations and Corporate Contributions

Many donations to Restore the Legacy directly support specific conservation or restoration projects, including corporate contributions.

Once funds have been committed or allocated to a project, refunds are generally not possible as these resources are used to support ongoing environmental work, community collaboration, and restoration activities.

If a project cannot proceed due to unforeseen circumstances, Restore the Legacy reserves the right to reallocate the donation to a comparable conservation initiative aligned with the organisation’s mission.

Grants and Institutional Funding

Grants from foundations, governments, or institutional partners are governed by separate grant agreements and funding conditions. Refund or reallocation terms are determined within those agreements.

Processing Fees

If a refund is approved, any payment processing fees charged by third-party payment providers may be deducted from the refunded amount.
